I have always been a serious motorsports spectator. In the days before the internet, if you wanted to know what was going on, or what had gone on, you had to figure it out for yourself, particularly at the more grass roots level events. Consequently, I took copious notes, and today I have dozens of Stenographer's Notebooks from pre 2000. I could take a pretty mean lap chart, but doing so restricted the opportunity for picture taking. I've included my notes from the '79 CRRC. I have to admit that they weren't always this thorough.
