Sunday

The weather forecast for Sunday called for rain, so some guys headed home, including our buddy Robby. None of that for us; everything was going so well and track time is a valuable commodity. With a fairly late 9:20 race start, there was plenty of time to have a nice breakfast and get ready for the day.
33 cars made the call for race one, with an overcast sky but dry track. Shane started on the pole but lost the lead to Doug Voss going into turn one, and that was basically the race. 12 Laps later, Shane followed Doug across the line by 0.367 second, but set fastest lap at 2:11.552. Mike Hummel was third, 25 seconds off the lead.
A thick fog invaded the track in the late morning, causing a reformatting of the day's remaining schedule. Fortunately it cleared in plenty of time for the 12 lap afternoon race. By this time, however, most had given up and left for home, so only 14 cars answered the call. Shane won the drag race into turn one from Frank DelVecchio and set the race's fastest lap at 2:12.149 on his way to a 51 second win over Jamie Britnell, driving the Hawke previously driven by Brent McPhail.
We had a smooth and uneventful trip home, just how we all like it. Maybe our best weekend ever at the race track.

The fog rolled in on little cats' feet; screwed up the schedule a bit; and moved on
What else is there to do on an extended foggy lunch break but take pictures of your car.
Here we all are. Ayden you've met. He's the boss. Just ask him. That's Shane, you're driver, behind him, and me, Peter, you're photographer.
